About Us

      We posed for this picture in December 1995, six months after opening our pet sitting business. Persnickety, or Persy

as we call him, is the animated guy on the left. We rescued

him from   the Atlanta Humane Society     when he was

only 3 or 4 weeks old and all alone.    Persy  recently made

the trip up to kitty heaven. Our hearts are still on the mend.

     Poonta  is the pretty, black and white girl pictured on the right. We're originally from Virginia where she was adopted from a shelter in 1991. Poonta lived a happy and spoiled life with us for over 16 years. It was difficult to say good-bye and

we miss her a lot!

    As for the humans in the photo, Kimberly & Wayne met in

January 1993.   Shortly after,  Kimberly began working part-time  as  a  pet sitter in  northern  Virginia.    We were  both

drawn to this profession early on and  felt it was our calling.    It's a fantastic service for animal lovers,  plus someone is there looking after your home.     Kimberly's  former employer provided us with a good head start,  insight  and  knowledge about the pet

sitting industry. 

     We moved to Atlanta in June 1995 and  Pet Care Extraordinaire opened for business.

We have built  relationships  with  a lot of  cute critters,   met a lot of nice folks and can

honestly say we enjoy what we do.   Wayne and Kimberly married on January 16, 2000,

on a quick, romantic get-away to Las Vegas and the rest is history!
